How to get out of your student loans--

This info is FREE OF CHARGE because it's such a NO BRAINER.

To get out of student loans, especially after you've received your degree, then simply LEAVE THE COUNTRY. Period. Problem solved.

Most countries would take a highly qualified graduate in a heart beat, you ability to enter another country increases when you have a degree or two.

Places to think about-- Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, various nation islands, India... all of them has a primary entry requirement-- a degree.

Don't feel guilty.. you didn't create the economic policies that ruined this country. Most of us had good, well meaning plans to pay back our loans but now... in this economy? We're luck to pay mortgage let alone student loans.

Agreed, he is probably working on publicity. But part of me also thinks he really is just that much of an ass that he keeps coming back. What is disturbing to me is the trend of ex-Bush era staffers coming out as of late, with Cheney seemingly at the head of the pack. I think that maybe they all just feel a little displaced now that they have been out of power for a few months.

Mr. Boswell, I think you missed my point. But to respond, no I'm not gay but I do have friends and family that are. The point is that denying a right (and marriage at the moment is a right shrouded under the guise of religious fervor) to any group is wrong. I do agree that there are other more important problems and issues regarding gay rights, and I think you are trying to get at basic everyday issues such as the hate crimes you mention that go on "day after day." But just because something is a lightning rod does NOT mean it isn't an important issue. And as a human, "marriage", unions, partnerships or however you want to label a relationship with another human being, is part of our fundamental nature. In the US, that relationship is known as marriage, and it is only natural for people to want to be able to enter that union without any stigma or differences attached. While I personally do agree that marriage is simply a word, to some people (gays included) that word is just as important as it is to heterosexuals. Why should couple A be forced to enter a civil union while couple B is allowed to enter the "holy matrimony of marriage"? And why is the only dividing line between A and B their sexuality. That is denial of a right afforded to one group over another, plain and simple. And that Mr. Boswell is wrong.

You note that "gays still keep getting persecuted...across this country and all we talk about is whether they can get married." Denial of the right to get married is an acute form of persecution. You also mention hate crimes and from what I gather, that is what you deem the most important issue regarding gays, and I wouldn't disagree. Hate crimes (against ANY group, not just gays) are horrible and I am ashamed to consider myself part of the same species as anyone who ever committed one. I don't know what hate crime you are referring to in Mass., and I do not have any statistics on the frequency of such crimes in that state, my state, or the nation. The problem is that such crimes don't appear to happen as often as the frequency of people getting married, and so one ends up naturally becoming a larger issue. That is not to say that it isn't more important (people getting beaten or killed for who they are is obviously more important than marriage), but one problem is capable of being solved (gay marriage) while the other that you mention (hate-crimes) is hardly preventable. If a person intends to commit a hate-crime, then most likely they are going to be able to commit it (barring extraordinary police work).

Of course, you are welcome to your opinion that gay marriage is a non-issue, or at least unimportant in comparison to the things you mentioned. I welcome the discussion. Thanks for reading.

anti-prop 8 people...learn to play the game...america i believe will eventually get behind gay marriage...but u gotta know when to bring a case and when not too...as TTL states, there are way too many variables left...who says another state's gay marriage (allowing it) law won't have better traction on the federal level...

i think we are all falling into cheney's little trap here...the man is shopping/has a memoir due...he is doing this to raise his profile and attract attention to his book...while it probably isn't from a financial standpoint (who knows how much the guy has or how many souls he has stolen), i suspect it may be from a political/advertising point of view...true he doesn't need the money, but why would he want to release a memoir if no one read it...(making outlandish comments/staying in the news = more readers)...

Look I don't believe marriage is holy and I'm not gay (so you may have better insight than I into how they generally feel) but I think this story is overhyped. The straight conservatives want to keep their word, so let them. Who cares? What is important is that every person and coupling has equal rights and not what it is called. Instead shouldn't we be focusing on the hate-crimes that go on against homosexuals day after day? Like the one in Provincetown, Mass. yesterday. Polls repeatedly show that people favor expanding hate crime legislation but not "gay marriage." Why arent we talking about doing what we can get done?

To me gay marriage is the latest in a series of gay issues that have dominated the MSM during my life: 1. AIDS & gays. 2. Gays and the military 3. a Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage and now 4. Gay marriage. All of these stories were/are lightening rods for both liberals and conservatives and they were all bs. They don't deal with what is really important. Gays still keep getting persecuted and terrorized across this country and all we talk about is whether they can get married. Ridiculous.

you forgot the most important tip: GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!! turn back and do something e;se!!! haha, good list, i like the 'silent bookworm' analysis...and agree re: gunners, i remember back in school we had a couple that were detested by many, but at the end of the day when you are a graduate and out practicing it never hurts to at least be on friendly terms so that you always have a resource...u won't know it till u graduate, but its not worth creating mortal enemies in law school...(unless their name is adolf and they have a swatiska tat)...same with the party animal, u don't want to be one of those people who treats law school like undergrad...while its important to occasionally act like your an undergrad (to blow off steam), never forgot you are in law school and you are paying A LOT of money to be there (money you will regret spending after you graduate, but that is another story)

Yeah law school definitely doesn't need to be three years long. Shit, one year and Barbri would be enough to pass the bar I bet. Having the third year to work on practical skills would be a great idea, and with the way things are going, perhaps schools will start taking up more clinical programs.

Hannity is a broken record. The way he spins things is amazing. It's insane to be able to disregard reality to that level. What is funnier is how when Ventura responds with facts and honest opinion, Hannity goofs off and asks if he wants to arm wrestler.

And yes, The Body does need a haircut. He's got the old man Hulk Hogan thing going. Just go bald, he'd be even more intimidating looking.

maybe this will "scare them straight." (sorry, horrible joke)...its funny though that this gets publicity over the other horrific events that occur at prison (but that's another discussion)...now i'm not asserting that this story doesn't deserve the publicity because it certainly is messed up that kids got tasered...but at the end of the day, the problem with prisons isn't this, its the treatment of prisoners and guards, etc (and the fact that it has become BIG BUSINESS), alas, probably a discussion for another day (would have to factor in "moral" issues, the idea prisoner's "deserve it," etc.)...

though what does this say about the fallacy that is law school, where you can actually make rational/valid arguments about the better "party" school...the fact that there are rankings for this and it is a topic (albeit a fun, interesting one) has to be further proof that law school is a joke! (at least three years of it...not sure why it is three years and not two followed by a "practical skills" internship).
